Privacy Policy

Concept Engineering respects your privacy and does not collect personal data unless you explicitly provide us with such data. We collect, store and process your personal data in compliance with our Privacy Policy as described in this notice. This notice informs you of the nature, scope, and purpose of the personal data we collect, store and process. By using Concept's web services or other services you agree with the terms and conditions in this notice.

Concept has implemented numerous technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, Internet-based data transmissions may in principle have security gaps, so absolute protection can not be guaranteed. For this reason, you are free to transfer personal data to us via alternative means, e.g. by paper mail or telephone.

1. Definitions

This Privacy Notice should be legible and understandable for the general public, as well as for our customers and business partners and should comply with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) of the EU (German: DSGVO, Datenschutzgrundverordnung). For that, we would like to first explain the terminology used. In this Privacy Notice, we use, inter alia, the following terms:

Personal Data

"Personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly – in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, address, E-mail address, telephone number, an identification number, location data, online identifier or similar – of that natural person.

Concept

The word "Concept" means the company Concept Engineering whose contact address is specified in chapter 2 below. Concept is the controller, responsible for the processing of your personal data.

You

The word "you" means the identifiable natural person that is using Concept's services or is in contact with Concept in any way.

Processing

"Processing" is any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

Profiling

"Profiling" means any form of automated processing of personal data consisting of the use of personal data to evaluate certain personal aspects relating to a natural person, in particular to analyze or predict aspects concerning that natural person's performance at work, economic situation, health, personal preferences, interests, reliability, behavior, location or movements.

Consent

Your "Consent" is any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of your wishes by which you, by a statement or by a clear affirmative action, signifies agreement to the processing of personal data relating to you.

Cookie

A "Cookie" is is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the user's computer by the user's web browser while the user is browsing, for the purpose to reliably remember stateful information or to record the user's browsing activity.

3. Collection of Data when using Concept's website

Concept's website may collect a series of general information when you or an automated system calls up the Concept's web pages. This general information is stored in the server log files. Collected may be (1) the browser types and versions used, (2) the operating system used by the accessing system, (3) the website from which an accessing system reaches our website (so-called referrers), (4) the sub-websites, (5) the date and time of access to the Internet site, (6) an Internet protocol address (IP address), (7) the Internet service provider of the accessing system, and (8) any other similar data and information that may be used in the event of attacks on our information technology systems.

This data is not passed on to third parties unless there is a statutory obligation to pass on the data, or if the transfer serves the aim of criminal prosecution.

If you are not logged in to Concept's online services via https authentication (that means for the sole reading of Concept's public web pages) Concept does not draw any conclusions about you by processing those log files. This information is only needed to maintain and optimize the website, fight against cyber-attacks and similar. Therefore, Concept may analyze the collected information statistically and anonymously, with the aim of increasing the data protection and data security, and to ensure a high level of protection for the personal data we process. The anonymous data of the server log files are stored separately from your personal data and is not processed together or combined in any way.

Concept's Website does not collect personal data through Cookies or Social Media plugins or Web Analytics tools like Google Analytics.

If you are logged in to Concept's online services via https authentication (that means you are identifying yourself to Concept's online services) then Concept may combine the web server log file information described above with personal data you specified through other channels. Concept does this to verify and manage your access permissions for the purpose of data protection and data security to prevent the misuse of Concept services, and, if necessary, to make it possible to investigate committed offenses. Insofar, the storage of this data is necessary to secure Concept's online services. These online services are only available to Concept's customers and business partners that have received access permissions from Concept.

4. Collection of Personal Data

To fulfill Concept's business obligations as well as for marketing and advertising purposes, for order processing, etc (as described in chapter 5 below) Concept collects and stores personal data through the following channels:

by E-mail to Concept

Data that you intentionally include to your E-mail to Concept when requesting any Concept services, information, contact, or similar action.

by Online Registration

Concept offer online registration pages, e.g. this Registration Form that you can use to provide your data to Concept for requesting any Concept services, data sheets, information, business contact, or similar action. Which personal data are transmitted to Concept is determined by the respective input mask used for the registration.

by Business Cards, Paper Mail, Telephone calls, Personal Meetings, etc

Your personal data, that you intentionally provide to Concept via business cards, electronic business cards, or electronically in any other way, e.g. on trade shows, conferences, online conferences, or via paper mail, telephone calls, personal meetings, etc.

by using Concept's online services that require online authentication

Concept offers online services for its customers and business partners that require a user account and password for authentication. Those online services include software download, online demo software, bug reports, license management, etc. Any activity on those services is stored, including Web server log file information (as defined in chapter 3).

5. Processing of Personal Data

Any personal data provided by you to Concept, as listed in chapter 4, is transmitted on a voluntary basis by you to Concept and is automatically collected and stored in Concept data files for Concept's internal use and for its own purposes. Concept may process those data for the following purposes:

Providing Online Services

For customers, business partners, Concept employees and for certain other users or group of users Concept provides online services that by the nature of those services require access control and therefore required user authentication. Insofar, the processing or personal data is necessary to secure Concept's online services and protect them against misuse.

Product Notification and related Information

Concept may use personal data to send information to customers, business partners and other users to update them on Concept's products or services or any other aspect of Concept's business activities or to provide any kind of information to those that might be interested on that kind of information.

Marketing, Advertising and Sales Information

Concept may use personal data to send marketing material, any kind of data sheets, any material for the purpose of advertising, sales or marketing, or send invitations, notifications, or similar information to whoever Concept selects for receiving that.

Order Processing and other Business Activities

Concept may use personal data to perform any kind of communication or data exchange that is in relation to Concept's business activities, including but not limited to sending invoices, processing orders, bookkeeping, creating written agreements, negotiating, fulfilling its obligations, providing its services, etc.

Concept does not perform automatic individual decision-making or profiling.

6. Period for which the personal data will be stored

Concept process and stores your personal data only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of storage, or as long as required by applicable law and/or public authorities (e.g. tax authorities require Concept to store certain data for a minimum time period of 10 years).

7. Your Rights

Right of confirmation

You have the right to obtain from Concept the confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you is being processed.

Right of access

You have the right to obtain from Concept information about personal data concerning you, stored in any of Concepts data files, including information about the purpose of processing, the categories and criteria of storing, the recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed, the source of the personal data, and if personal data is transferred to a third country or international organization.

Right of rectification

You have the right to obtain from Concept the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you. Taking into account the purposes of the processing, you have the right to have incomplete personal data completed.

Right of erasure

You have the right to obtain from Concept the erasure of personal data concerning you, without undue delay, provided that (a) there is no other legal ground for storing or processing that data and (b) unless Concept can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the storing or processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or (c) for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

Right of restriction of processing

You have the right to get removed from Concept's online services (results in losing access permissions) at any time. You have the right to get removed from Concept's mailing lists, including those for the purpose of marketing, advertising, sales, product information and notification, contact renewals etc.

Right of data portability

You have the right to receive from Concept a copy of the personal data concerning you, as they are stored in Concept's data files. You have the right to get a copy of that data in machine readable format.

Right to withdraw data processing consent

You have the right to withdraw your consent to processing your personal data at any time.

If you want to execute any of these rights, please send your request to Concept using the address given in chapter 2. The entirety of Concept's employees are available to you in this respect as contact persons.
